B1  ·  Che cosa viene dopo un verbo

Verbi con to

L'infinito esprime anche lo scopo: I went to the shop to buy milk.

Dopo una parola interrogativa va ugualmente l'infinito: I do not know what to say, She showed me how to do it.

Die Form

dopo un verboI want to leave.
con la persona in mezzoShe asked me to wait.
scopoHe went out to buy bread.
dopo un interrogativoI do not know where to start.
alla forma negativaShe decided not to go.

Die typisch deutsche Falle

Aufgepasst

I went to the shop for buying milk è sbagliato in tutte e due le versioni possibili. Ci vuole l'infinito da solo, o in order to nello stile sorvegliato. for più -ing esiste, ma dice a che serve un oggetto: This tool is for cutting metal.

Falsch:I went to the shop for buying milk.
Richtig:I went to the shop to buy milk.

Per fare che cosa? — infinito. A che serve l'oggetto? — for più -ing.
