La trappola tipica di chi parla italiano

Attenzione

Due abitudini italiane si incrociano qui. «Sarà uscito» è una supposizione sul passato e non si traduce con will have; e dopo «quando» l'italiano mette a sua volta un futuro anteriore — «quando avrai letto» —, mentre l'inglese dopo by the time si accontenta del presente.

Sbagliato:By the time you will arrive, I will have left.
Giusto:By the time you arrive, I will have left.

La spiegazione completa

Leggila tutta · circa 1 min

will have più il participio indica qualcosa che a un certo momento futuro sarà già concluso: By Friday I will have finished the report.

Quasi sempre accanto c'è un'indicazione con by: by then, by next week, by the time you arrive.
