An Hotel
Betreff Complaint: booking 48211, room not as booked

To the hotel management,

I am writing about our stay at your hotel from 3 to 7 May (booking number 48211). We had booked and paid in advance for a double room with a sea view and a balcony.

When we arrived late on the first evening, we were told that this room was no longer available and were given a room on the ground floor, facing the car park. The receptionist promised that we would be moved the next morning. However, nothing happened, and when I asked again, I was told that the hotel was fully booked for the rest of the week.

The room itself was clean, but it was noisy until late at night, and the window could not be opened because of the smell from the kitchen. Since the view was the main reason we had chosen your hotel, we were very disappointed.

I would therefore like to ask for a partial refund of the difference between the two room types for all four nights. I have attached a copy of the booking confirmation and two photographs of the room we were given.

I look forward to hearing from you within the next two weeks.

Kind regards,

Clara Hoffmann
