中文母语者最容易踩的坑

汉语说“更大”“更好”，于是很多人把 more 和 -er 叠在一起：more bigger、more easier、more better。这是错的：-er 和 more 各自就表示“更”，只能二选一——短词用 -er，长词用 more。另一个常见错误是漏掉 than，或者照着别的语言用 as 代替它（bigger as）。

汉语的比较靠加词：“比……大”“更大”“最大”，形容词本身不变。英语则要改变形容词：单音节形容词和以 -y 结尾的双音节形容词加 -er 和 -est：old – older – the oldest，easy – easier – the easiest。更长的形容词前面加 more 和 the most：interesting – more interesting – the most interesting。
不规则的有：good – better – the best，bad – worse – the worst，far – further/farther – the furthest，little – less – the least，much/many – more – the most。
比较时用 than：bigger than（比……大）。表示“和……一样”用 as … as：as big as。最高级前面总要加 the。注意语序：汉语说“我比他高”，英语说 I am taller than him——比较的对象放在后面。
比较级不能叠加：more bigger、more better 都是错的。汉语的“更大”“更好”让人很想在 -er 前面再加一个 more，可 -er 本身已经就是“更”了。
