The Suitcase That Went the Wrong Way
A mala do Tom não chega — e fez a sua própria viagem.
Uma história de férias no Simple Past. Repara em tudo o que falta ao Tom e na forma como ele se desenrasca. O papelinho amarelo do fim é uma piada.
Tom flew to the coast for a week by the sea. The flight was short and quiet. But at the airport, his suitcase did not come. Everybody took their bags and left. Tom stood there alone.
He went to a small office. A young woman wrote down his name and the name of his hotel. "Your suitcase is probably on the next plane," she said. "We can bring it to your hotel tomorrow."
That evening Tom had no clothes, no toothbrush and nothing for the beach. He bought a shirt and a toothbrush in a shop near the hotel. Then he sat on the beach and watched the sun go down.
The next morning, somebody knocked on his door. A man stood there with Tom’s suitcase. On it was a small yellow note: "Sorry! I went to the mountains by mistake." Tom laughed and went to the beach.

He went to a small desk at the airport. A young woman wrote his name on a card. "We can bring it to your hotel tomorrow," she said.
