Incorrecto The supplier told the client that he had made a mistake.

Correcto The supplier admitted to the client that the mistake was his.

El error más caro de este nivel es un pronombre que podría señalar dos cosas. The supplier told the client that he had made a mistake: ¿quién cometió el error? La frase es impecable de gramática e inservible de contenido. En un contrato o en un correo eso cuesta una consulta; en un acta cuesta más.
