Mia’s First Day
Mia fängt in einem kleinen Laden an — ein Tag von sechs Uhr morgens bis fünf.
Eine kurze Geschichte im Simple Present. Achte auf das -s bei she und he: she works, he wants. Lies sie Absatz für Absatz und frag dich jedes Mal: Wie spät ist es jetzt?
Mia is twenty-two. Today is her first day at a new job. She works in a small shop in the city. The shop sells books and pens.
Mia gets up at six. She has a coffee and an apple. Then she takes the bus to work. The bus is late, but Mia is not late.
Her boss is a tall woman. Her name is Ruth. Ruth is very kind. She shows Mia the shop. "This is your desk," she says.
At twelve, Mia has lunch with Tom. Tom works in the shop too. In the afternoon, Mia helps a man. He wants a book for his son.
At five, Mia goes home. She is tired, but she is happy. "I like my new job," she says to her mother.
