No Trains on Saturday
Tre amiche organizzano una gita — e poi i treni vengono cancellati.
Una chat di gruppo. Leggila come un’organizzazione: qual è il problema, quali possibilità vengono proposte e che cosa si decide alla fine?
Bad news: there will be no trains on Saturday. The drivers are on strike for the whole weekend.
You are joking. We have already booked the room by the sea!
I know. The website says there are some buses instead, but they take twice as long.
What about my car? It is small, but three people and three bags should fit.
That would be perfect. We could leave on Friday evening instead of Saturday morning.
I finish work at five. If we leave at six, we can be there before ten.
And we could share the cost of the petrol. It will still be cheaper than three train tickets.
Should I call the hotel and ask if we can arrive one night earlier?
Yes, please. If they say no, we can still leave on Saturday morning by car.
Done. They have a free room for Friday! Same price.
Great. So Friday, six o’clock, at Lucy’s place.
