Request to Change My Shifts
Jonas bittet seine Teamleiterin, zwei Schichten zu tauschen.
Eine E-Mail an die Vorgesetzte. Achte auf die höflichen Formeln (I would like to ask, I would be grateful) und darauf, wie Jonas das Problem gleich selbst löst.
Hi Karen,
I would like to ask if I could change two of my shifts next month. My sister is getting married on Saturday 14 June, and I am on the late shift that day. The wedding is four hours away by car, so I would need the Friday and the Saturday off.
I have already talked to Daniel. He is happy to take my two shifts, and I will work his early shifts on 20 and 21 June instead. That way, the team will have the same number of people every day.
If this is not possible, please let me know. I could also take the two days as holiday, but I would prefer to keep my holiday for the summer.
I would be grateful if you could tell me by the end of next week, because I still need to book a hotel.
Thanks a lot,
Jonas
Hi Karen,
I need two free days next month, please: Friday 13 June and Saturday 14 June. My sister is getting married on the Saturday. It is four hours away by car.
I talked to Daniel. He can work on these two days for me. Then I work for him on 20 and 21 June. So the team has the same number of people every day.
I can also take two days of holiday. But I want to keep my holiday for the summer.
Please tell me by the end of next week. I still need to book a hotel.
Thanks a lot,
Jonas
