The Suitcase That Went the Wrong Way
La valise de Tom n’arrive pas — et elle a fait son propre voyage.
Une histoire de vacances au Simple Past. Observe tout ce qui manque à Tom et comment il se débrouille. Le petit papier jaune à la fin est une plaisanterie.
Tom flew to the coast for a week by the sea. The flight was short and quiet. But at the airport, his suitcase did not come. Everybody took their bags and left. Tom stood there alone.
He went to a small office. A young woman wrote down his name and the name of his hotel. "Your suitcase is probably on the next plane," she said. "We can bring it to your hotel tomorrow."
That evening Tom had no clothes, no toothbrush and nothing for the beach. He bought a shirt and a toothbrush in a shop near the hotel. Then he sat on the beach and watched the sun go down.
The next morning, somebody knocked on his door. A man stood there with Tom’s suitcase. On it was a small yellow note: "Sorry! I went to the mountains by mistake." Tom laughed and went to the beach.
