Orgelbau
Ein Instrument, das in ein Gebäude hineingebaut wird.
Ein Wort, das im Englischen zwei ganz verschiedene Dinge meint und hier nur eines: <i>a stop</i> ist kein Halt, sondern ein Register — eine ganze Pfeifenreihe mit einer Klangfarbe. Der Name kommt daher, dass der Zug die Luft für diese Reihe anhält oder freigibt, und wer ihn als Halt liest, versteht das ganze Instrument falsch.
