Mia’s First Day

米娅在一家小店开始工作——从早上六点到下午五点的一天。

一个用一般现在时（Simple Present）写的小故事。注意 she 和 he 后面的 -s：she works、he wants。一段一段地读，每次都问问自己：现在几点了？

Mia is twenty-two. Today is her first day at a new job. She works in a small shop in the city. The shop sells books and pens.

Mia gets up at six. She has a coffee and an apple. Then she takes the bus to work. The bus is late, but Mia is not late.

Her boss is a tall woman. Her name is Ruth. Ruth is very kind. She shows Mia the shop. "This is your desk," she says.

At twelve, Mia has lunch with Tom. Tom works in the shop too. In the afternoon, Mia helps a man. He wants a book for his son.

At five, Mia goes home. She is tired, but she is happy. "I like my new job," she says to her mother.
