吃和喝

从早餐到结账。

没有哪个场合比点菜更容易说错——也没有哪个场合会这么快被发现。这份清单涵盖买菜、做饭和下馆子，也包括英语里不可数、因而不能加 a 和 -s 的词：bread、rice、milk、food。中文用量词“一片面包、一碗饭”，英语也要借助一个词：a slice of bread、a bowl of rice。另外，“饿”和“渴”在英语里是形容词，要用 be：I am hungry.，不说 I have hungry.。

to drink喝动词A1

I do not drink coffee after six.我六点以后不喝咖啡。

“喝汤”英语常说 eat soup；“吃药”是 take medicine，搭配和中文不完全对应。

to cook做饭；烹饪动词A1

He cooks every evening.他每天晚上做饭。

cook 也是名词“厨师”；cooker 反而是“炉灶”。

to order点（菜）；订购动词A2

We ordered the soup.我们点了汤。

to taste尝起来；尝动词A2

This soup tastes wonderful.这汤味道好极了。

taste 后面接形容词：tastes wonderful，不说 tastes wonderfully。
