前几行就藏着两个陷阱。lift 是电梯，美式英语叫 elevator；而 give somebody a lift 却是“顺路捎某人一程”。楼层的说法更容易出错：中文的“一楼”在英式英语里是 ground floor，英式的 first floor 其实是中文的“二楼”；美式英语则和中文一样，first floor 就是一楼。在伦敦按 second floor，到的是中文说的三楼。
