Bread and Milk

Nils has two words in his hand: bread and milk. His mother writes them every Friday.

The shop is open. It is warm in here. Nils goes to the bread. It is new and it is good.

Then he sees apples. He likes apples. He takes six. He sees cheese. His father likes cheese. He takes some.

The woman at the door of the shop looks in his hands. "That is a lot of bread and milk," she says.

Nils looks too. He has no milk. The woman goes with him to the milk and gives him one. "Now it is right," she says.
