첫 출근
The first day at a new job, from the dress code to the first mistake.
Workplace language: the formal -습니다 style next to the polite -요 style, titles instead of names (팀장님, 선배님), and -(으)ㄹ까 봐 for being worried that something might happen.
오늘은 회사에 처음 출근하는 날이었다. 늦을까 봐 알람을 세 개나 맞춰 놓았고, 약속 시간보다 삼십 분 일찍 회사에 도착했다.
팀장님은 나를 팀원들에게 소개해 주셨다. "오늘부터 같이 일하게 된 박지훈 씨입니다." 나는 긴장해서 목소리가 조금 떨렸다.
오전에는 회사 규칙과 컴퓨터 사용 방법을 배웠다. 옆자리의 선배는 모르는 것이 있으면 언제든지 물어보라고 했다.
오후에 처음으로 이메일을 보내는 일을 했는데, 실수로 파일을 붙이지 않고 보내 버렸다. 선배는 괜찮다며 다시 보내는 방법을 알려 주었다.
퇴근길에 하루를 돌아보니 힘들었지만 좋은 사람들과 일하게 되어서 다행이라는 생각이 들었다.
