Daily routine

Waking up, washing, eating, setting off and going to sleep.

Korean splits washing up by what is washed: the face is 세수하다, the hair 머리를 감다, the teeth 이를 닦다, and hands or anything else 씻다. 아침 is both the morning and breakfast, and the same goes for lunch and dinner — 아침을 먹다 is to have breakfast. Around a mealtime, 식사하셨어요?, “have you eaten?”, is a polite greeting rather than an invitation.
