描述图表、读表格题、写报告，都离不开这些词。它们毫不起眼，却撑起了一半的内容：slightly、roughly、twice as much、a sharp rise。中文的“上升”“提高”一个动词既可带宾语也可不带，英语却要分开：价格自己涨是 prices rise，有人涨价是 they raise prices。掌握这些词，你就能描述一条曲线了。

“某方面的增长”是 a rise in something。作动词时，prices rise 不带宾语，raise prices 带宾语。
