A common trap

Wrong Ich muss zu gehen.

Right Ich muss gehen.

English puts "to" in front of almost every infinitive and drops it after the modals, which is the same split German makes — but the German list of exceptions is longer and includes lassen, sehen, hören, gehen, bleiben, helfen. The safe approach is to learn those extra verbs explicitly, because the modal group alone will not cover them, and a stray zu after lassen is one of the most audible learner errors at this level.
