What holds these lists together

Not a degree course, but what really appears in an explainer, a field guide or a warning label. Much of it reads at sight, because Italian science uses the same Latin and Greek stock as English science. The traps are where the two divide the world differently. Il fungo is both the mushroom in the basket and the fungus in the laboratory, where English keeps two words. And the Greek nouns in -i do not change in the plural: l’analisi, le analisi; la crisi, le crisi — no ending to add, only the article to change.
