Hours and days, the week, the seasons, and how to say what time it is.
The clock is read with बजे: पाँच बजे is five o’clock. Quarter past, half past and quarter to are words placed in front of the hour — सवा पाँच, साढ़े पाँच, पौने पाँच — and half past one and half past two have their own words, डेढ़ and ढाई. One word, कल, covers both yesterday and tomorrow; the tense of the verb tells you which. The days of the week are all masculine.
