A1  ·  40 words

The first adjectives

Big and small, new and old, hot and cold, cheap and expensive.

An adjective ending in -ा changes with its noun: बड़ा घर, बड़ी गाड़ी, बड़े कमरे. Every other adjective stays the same whatever follows — सुंदर, साफ़, ग़रीब, भारी — and those are marked below where it matters. The adjective comes before its noun, or after it with है: घर बड़ा है.
