Colours
The colours, and the words for a dark shade and a colourful one.
Colours ending in -ा change with their noun — काला कुत्ता, काली बिल्ली — and the rest never change: लाल, सफ़ेद, गुलाबी, नारंगी. A shade is named with रंग: नारंगी रंग का दुपट्टा, “an orange-coloured scarf”.
