La casa vicino al lago

La casa è vicino al lago, a mezz’ora dalla città. Il proprietario aspetta davanti alla porta. Fa fresco e il cielo è grigio.

La cucina è grande. C’è un tavolo con quattro sedie e una finestra che dà sul giardino. Il frigorifero è nuovo. Sopra il tavolo c’è una lampada vecchia.

La camera è piccola ma comoda. Il letto è sotto la finestra. Nell’armadio c’è posto per i vestiti di due persone. Il bagno è dietro la camera ed è pulito.

Dal balcone si vede il lago e, più lontano, la montagna. In giardino ci sono tre alberi e molti fiori. Un gatto dorme sull’erba.

L’affitto è alto per la zona, dice il proprietario, ma la casa è tranquilla. Marco pensa alla strada, al lavoro, al treno. Poi guarda il lago e dice di sì.
