The phone and the internet
Calls and messages, charging and signal, apps, passwords and looking things up.
Almost every word here is English written in Devanagari, and Hindi treats them as its own: they take genders and Hindi verbs. Most are masculine — फ़ोन, मैसेज, पासवर्ड — but कॉल, बैटरी and वेबसाइट are feminine. An English verb becomes a Hindi one with करना: चार्ज करना, डाउनलोड करना.
