French for work

Introductions, meetings, emails and phone calls: French for colleagues, clients and job applications.

31 sentences · 3 dialogues · 18 words

Why this field

France is a close neighbour and a major trading partner, and French is a working language in Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Canada. English gets you a long way at work, but not everywhere — and not into every conversation over lunch.

Work French is more formal than everyday French: vous instead of tu, set phrases in emails and on the phone. Those phrases are easy to learn as whole units.
