Language in use

French for studying and exchanges

Enrolment, lectures, exams and flatshares: French for a term or a year at a university.

30 sentences · 3 dialogues · 17 words

Why this field

For many people an exchange term is the moment French turns from a school subject into an everyday language. Universities in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada take students from abroad, and many arrive every year.

The first weeks are the hardest: enrolment, accommodation, a bank account and lectures at native speed. If you know the sentences for these situations beforehand, you lose less time and settle in faster.
