Saying when
Next and last, before and after, already, never, soon, recently and for now.
“Next” and “last” are adjectives and change like any other: अगला हफ़्ता, but अगले हफ़्ते “next week”, because a time phrase stands in the oblique. “Before” and “after” follow the noun: खाने से पहले, खाने के बाद. A time span followed by पहले means “ago”: दो साल पहले.
