Der Zug nach Hamburg
A train journey, a missed connection and a conversation on the platform.
Travel, and the simple past. In conversation German uses the perfect, but when a story is written down the simple past is normal: fuhr, musste, saß. Watch the separable verbs as well — abfahren becomes der Zug fuhr ab, and ankommen becomes als er ankam.
