Nous allons au parc.We are going to the park.
allons — Présent · nous; Impératif · nous
Bonjour, comment allez-vous ?Good morning, how are you?
allez — Présent · vous; Impératif · vous
Les deux caisses vont fusionner. The two funds are going to merge.
vont — Présent · ils/elles
Un aller-retour, s’il vous plaît.A return ticket, please.
aller — infinitif
Wrong Je vais se coucher.
Right Je vais me coucher.
The pronoun follows the subject — even before an infinitive. Learn se as a fixed part of the verb and you write je vais se coucher. It is je vais me coucher: the one going to bed is me, so me. English «I am going to wash» has no pronoun at all, so nothing in your own language checks this for you.
5 gaps, first from the example sentences above, then from the table. Every answer counts towards your reviews.
The forms are calculated from the rules of the language — twice, in two independent ways — and checked against every hand-written form in this course. The example sentences are the course’s own.
