邮局、包裹与银行账户
邮局柜台和网上银行要用的词。
这几个词常让人摸不着头脑。bill 在英式英语里是“账单”，在美式英语里还可以是“纸币”——在纽约说 the bill 依然是账单，但 a five-dollar bill 是一张五美元的钞票。to charge 既是“收费、要价”，也是“从卡里扣款”：They charged me twice 可能是说收了两次钱，也就是重复扣款。还有 balance：在银行是“余额”，在别处是“平衡”。另外，英语地址的顺序和中文正好相反：门牌号、街道、城市、邮编，从小到大写。
