Greetings, opinions and ideas
Saying hello and goodbye, giving and justifying an opinion, and the words for thoughts.
What holds these lists together
In Turkish a greeting is a small decision. The person leaving says hoşça kal, the one staying answers güle güle; to hoş geldiniz “welcome” you reply hoş bulduk. From there the lists climb to conversation: saying what you think (bence, “in my opinion”), agreeing and disagreeing, giving reasons. The abstract nouns at the end are often made with -lik, like English “-dom” or “-ness”: özgür “free” becomes özgürlük “freedom”.
For example: merhaba (hello), bence (in my opinion, I think), eğer (if), anlam (meaning, sense)
