Warehousing and logistics in Spanish
Goods in, storage location, picking, the last mile — what happens between the lorry and the customer.
La nave logística is the warehouse building itself, and it is la nave on its own that holds the surprise. It is a ship — una nave espacial is a spacecraft — and it is the nave of a church, the long high space between the pillars. The industrial sense follows from that second one: any long high span under a single roof, which is exactly what a distribution shed is. English kept only the church meaning, so « nave » will do for neither the ship nor the shed.
