Speaking studio: practise Spanish out loud

Listen, repeat, listen to yourself: that is how something you have read becomes something you can say. Pick a level, hear a sentence and say it back. Then hear the model and your recording one after the other and judge for yourself how close you came.

Your voice stays with you

  • The microphone only switches on when you press “Record”. Until then the page does not ask for it.
  • The recording lives only in this tab’s memory. It is not uploaded and not saved; it is gone with the next recording or when you leave the page.
  • Your browser works out the waveform and pitch itself. There is no speech recognition and no service listening in.
  • Only your own rating is saved — “Sounded the same”, “Almost” or “Not yet” — in this browser’s progress, so that hard sentences come back. Never any audio.

Why practise out loud?

Reading a language teaches you its words — but your mouth and ears have never used them. Repeating trains exactly that: sounds, stress and sentence melody. It helps most when you hear yourself afterwards, because your own voice sounds different from the inside. Short, frequent rounds help more than one long one.

Shadowing in three steps

First hear the sentence once while reading along. Then put on headphones and speak at the same time, as close behind the voice as you can — even if not every word is right. Finally listen to the recording: where you fall behind is the spot for the next round.

Rate yourself honestly

Nobody but you hears the recording, so there is nothing to prove. “Not yet” only means the sentence comes back soon. “Almost” brings it back in a few days, “Sounded the same” only after a longer while.
