More about this list
Many free-time words come with a fixed verb, much as in English: sport is “done” (spor yapmak), football is “played” (futbol oynamak) — but an instrument is played with a different verb, gitar çalmak, where English uses “play” for both. Watching takes izlemek with the accusative: maçı izledik “we watched the match”. Where you go, as always, is in the dative: konsere, tiyatroya, spor salonuna.
