Shopping and money

Prices and bargaining, cash and cards, change, receipts and returning what does not fit.

A price is asked with कितने का है? or कितने की है?, agreeing with the thing you point at, and answered with का after the amount: सौ रुपए का. Money is usually plural, पैसे, and so is small change, छुट्टे. In a market bargaining is expected; in a shop with printed prices it is not.
