露营与房车
预订营位、搭帐篷、找电源和水。
在露营地，最要紧的是和各种接口有关的词：电源接口叫 hook-up，加满的净水叫 fresh water，要倒掉的污水叫 waste water。你问 electricity，别人能听懂；你问 hook-up，别人会直接把你指到正确的电箱前。“搭帐篷”的动词是 pitch，不是 build；而 pitch 作名词时又指“营位”。英式和美式也有差别：手电筒在英国叫 torch，在美国叫 flashlight。
