Detrás de un auxiliar desaparece el resto: I have not finished, but she has. Para un verbo entero está do: He works harder than I do. Y para una subordinada entera están so y not: I think so. I hope not.

También neither, nor y so acortan: I do not smoke. — Neither do I. She was tired, and so was I. Ahí el orden se invierte, cosa que «yo tampoco» no obliga a hacer.

Die Form

tras auxiliarI have not read it, but she has.
con doHe earns more than I do.
con soIs it raining? — I think so.
con notWill they come? — I hope not.
conformidadI am tired. — So am I. / Neither am I.

Die Regeln im Einzelnen

She said she would call, and she did.Dijo que llamaría, y lo hizo.

  2. so y not sustituyen a una subordinada entera.

Is he coming? — I believe so.¿Viene? — Creo que sí.

I do not agree. — Neither do I.No estoy de acuerdo. — Yo tampoco.

She was late, and so was he.Ella llegó tarde, y él también.

Die typisch deutsche Falle

Aufgepasst

Falsch:I do not like it. — I also not.
Richtig:I do not like it. — Neither do I.

Afirmativo: so do I. Negativo: neither do I.
