More about this list

Where something is, the locative says: mutfakta“in the kitchen”dolapta“in the cupboard” Where something goes, the dative says: masaya koy “put it on the table”. English makes the same distinction with “in” and “into”, “on” and “onto” — and mostly does not bother; Turkish always does, with the ending. Many words in this list soften before a vowel ending: dolap → dolabı, yatak → yatağı. And ev covers house, flat and home at once.
