More about this list

A job is stated without “a” and without “as”: Annem hemşire“My mother is a nurse”Avukatım“I am a lawyer” Where you work is in the locative: bir fabrikada çalışıyorum “I work in a factory”. Many job names end in -ci (-cı, -cu, -cü, and with ç after a voiceless consonant): temizlikçi, çiftçi, gazeteci. The ending works like English -er or -ist: it turns a thing into the person who deals with it.
