Ways to practise
From these 39 words, as many per round as you like — up to all of them: first what is due today, then new ones. First you choose, then you fill the gap, then you write it yourself. Mistakes come back again shortly.
More about this list A job is stated without “a” and without “as”: Annem hemşire “My mother is a nurse” Avukatım “I am a lawyer” Where you work is in the locative: bir fabrikada çalışıyorum “I work in a factory”. Many job names end in -ci (-cı , -cu , -cü , and with ç after a voiceless consonant): temizlikçi , çiftçi , gazeteci . The ending works like English -er or -ist: it turns a thing into the person who deals with it.
