Dos billetes para el domingo

A conversation at the ticket counter. It is almost entirely in the present tense and contains the phrases you really need there — from the time to the question about the platform.

Elena quiere ir a la playa el domingo. Va a la estación y espera diez minutos en la cola. Delante de ella hay una familia con tres niños.

La mujer del mostrador pregunta adónde quiere ir. Elena dice el nombre del pueblo y pide dos billetes. Uno es para su hermano.

Hay un tren a las ocho y otro a las diez. El primero llega antes pero es más caro. Elena elige el de las diez.

Los billetes cuestan veinte euros. Elena paga y pregunta por el andén. Es el número cinco, al lado de la puerta grande.

En casa su hermano dice que el domingo quiere dormir hasta tarde. Elena contesta que el tren no espera a nadie.
