From these 25 words, as many per round as you like — up to all of them: first what is due today, then new ones. First you choose, then you fill the gap, then you write it yourself. Mistakes come back again shortly.

More about this list

Polish describes the weather without “it”: Jest ciepło. “It’s warm.”, Pada. “It’s raining.” The person who feels cold or warm goes into the dative: jest mi zimno “I’m cold”, literally “it is cold to me” — saying jestem zimny would mean your body is cold to the touch. For “in summer” and “in winter” you use the instrumental, with no preposition: latem, zimą, wiosną, jesienią. And degrees are counted like everything else: dwa stopnie, but pięć stopni.
