Travel and transport in detail

Flights, connections, delays and the words on departure boards.

These are the words of signs, tickets and announcements, and most of them are short Sino-Korean compounds: 출국 and 입국 (leaving and entering a country), 왕복 and 편도 (return and single), 이륙 and 착륙. Announcements on trains and planes use the formal -습니다 style and very polite requests such as -아/어 주시기 바랍니다.
