Booking a room, packing, checking in and seeing the sights.
Much of a hotel stay happens in English words spelt in Hangul — 호텔, 로비, 체크인 — and a few have shifted on the way: a 캐리어 is a suitcase, a 콘도 a holiday flat in a resort. Staying the night is 묵다, and looking round a place is 구경하다, the word for any kind of looking about, from a market to a whole city. In a guesthouse, a hospital or a dormitory a room goes by how many it sleeps: 일인실, 이인실.
