Media and entertainment
Television, dramas, music and the people who make them.
Much of this vocabulary is borrowed from English and easy to recognise once you read it aloud: 드라마, 채널, 콘서트. The meanings shift a little, though: a 드라마 is any TV series with a story, not only a serious one, and 예능, the variety show full of games and guests, has no neat English equivalent. The Sino-Korean words cluster around 방송, broadcasting: 방송국, 생방송, 재방송.
