Sports and games

Ball games, matches, scores and the verbs each sport takes.

English "plays" every sport; Korean chooses the verb by what you do with the ball. Ball games in general take 하다 (축구를 하다), games with a racket or a club take 치다, "to hit" (테니스를 치다), skis are "ridden" (스키를 타다), and Go is "placed" (바둑을 두다). Scores are read with Sino-Korean numbers and 대: 이 대 일, two–one.
