Health and medicine

Clinics, tests, injections and the words for what is wrong.

In Korea you rarely go to a general hospital first: you go to a small clinic named after its speciality, and the 과 in 치과, 안과 and 내과 means "department". Watch the verbs that go with these nouns, because English uses different ones: you "receive" an examination (진찰을 받다), you are "hit" by an injection (주사를 맞다), and medicine is "eaten" (약을 먹다).
