What holds these lists together
The vocabulary of the economy is almost entirely Sino-Korean, and that makes it easier than it looks: once a syllable is known, it turns up again and again. 수출 is export and 수입 import, and 수입 is also income, a second word with the same sound. The same happens with 경기, which is the state of the economy on the news and a match on the sports page. Context separates them, and learning words in their lists, beside their neighbours, is what makes the context available. These lists are for reading the business pages, following a conversation about prices and wages, and dealing with a bank about loans, savings and insurance.
