Money and finance

Loans, savings, shares and the words on a bank statement.

Almost every word here is Sino-Korean, and a few syllables do most of the work: 금 (money) is in 예금, 적금 and 연금, and 료 (a charge) in 보험료 and 수수료. Two pairs are worth keeping apart. 금리is the rate이자the money it produces; 예금is money put in적금money put in every month for a fixed term Many verbs have a formal form for the bank and a plain one for conversation: 출금하다on the screen돈을 찾다when you talk about it
